Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank’s (ADIB) board on Sunday accepted the resignation of Tirad Mahmoud from his position as the ADIB Group’s CEO.

The resigned CEO was in a medical leave since March 2017, according to a bank statement.

“On behalf of ADIB's board and its executive management team and workforce, I extend my sincerest appreciation to Tirad Mahmoud for his invaluable contributions and achievements during his tenure with ADIB,” said Jawaan Awaidha Suhail Al Khaili, ADIB’s chairman.

Following Tirad’s resignation, Khamis Buharoon, ADIB’s vice chairman, will act as CEO, a position he was assuming since March, ADIB revealed.

After 25 years in banking and financial services industry, Tirad joined the bank in 2008 and succeded in developing the bank to a leading regional financial institution with operating in six countries.
