Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note amid foreign buying and Arab and local selling.

By 10:14 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.04% or 5.3 points to the level of 13,747.41 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.10% to 755.5 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.04% to 1,716.13 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.43% to 2,401 points.

Trading volume reached 9.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 29.18 million through 777 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 4.5 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.3 million and EGP 2,150, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.42% to EGP 73.5 with a turnover of EGP 3.4 million.
