Mubasher: The trade surplus between Qatar and Japan increased 22.5% year-on-year in October, according to the monthly bulletin issued by the Japanese Ministry of Finance.
The trade surplus reached its highest in October 2017 at JPY 97.57 billion ($868.4 million), registering its highest level in 2017, official data released on Monday showed.
Meanwhile, the Qatari trade surplus with Japan jumped 34.9% month-on-month to reach JPY 72.3 billion ($641.7 million).
The trade surplus grew due to an increase in Qatar’s exports to Japan by 12.3% to reach JPY 107.22 billion ($954.3 million).
Qatar’s total imports from Japan declined 39% to JPY 9.65 billion ($85.9 million).
