Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) on Monday detected a new cyberattack targeted to steal data from computers using phishing emails.

The hackers used “watering hole” attacks to drive users to open the infected web links.

NCSC said it, in collaboration with the regulatory authorities, has taken the necessary procedures to shield the users from the attack.

In early November, Saudi Arabia established a new authority for cyber security on the back of the several cyberattacks hit the Kingdom this year.
