Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session 0.23% or 14.2 points lower at 6,243.55 points.

By 9:48am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices lost 0.59% and 0.72%, respectively.

The banks segment led five decliners with 0.71%, dragged by Burgan which dropped 2.2%.

The telecom sector edged down 0.55%, affected by Zain, Viva, and Aan which lost 1.34%, 0.3%, and 0.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the financial services segment topped three gainers with 0.15%, backed by Amwal which rose by 4.2%.

Gulf Insurance headed losers with 20%, while Mubarrad was the top winner with a gain of 4.41%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 3.3 million after 11.5 million shares were traded through 528 transactions.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.31 million after 2.4 million shares were exchanged, falling 0.73%.
