Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The total cost of energy projects in the UAE is expected to reach AED 600 billion (163.38 billion) by 2050, the UAE’s minister of energy and industry Suhail bin Mohammed Al-Mazroui has said.
The private sector will have the lion’s share of these projects, Al-Mazroui added, according to Al-Ittihad newspaper, noting that the Ministry of Energy devised a water strategy until 2036, which aims at using 95% of the treated wastewater in agriculture.
The minister further stated that the ministry was working on a long-term strategy for adding new sectors to the industry and developing the UAE into an attractive environment for technology industries.
