Dubai- Mubasher: Shift Car Rental announced buying five vehicles of electric Renault Zoe 40, to be the sole firm in the UAE renting these cars, Al-Ittihad newspaper said.

“The Renault ZOE 40 Long Range is a 100% electric vehicle that offers an impressive range of up to 300km in real driving conditions and a short charging time of only two hours," making it one of the most practical EVs on the market,” the company stated.

In February 2015, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority opened the first electric car charging station.
