Cairo – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia-based, Elaj Group acquired Alexandria International Hospital in Smoha and Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Mohandessin.

The takeover of the hospital in Alexandria was implemented through over the counter (OTC) Deals Market at a value of EGP 35 million, according to Almal newspaper.

Feasibility studies are being carried out to expand the hospital and to add new treatment units, following Elaj’s acquisition of a majority stake.

Elaj Group plans to acquire a 25% stake in TechnoScan.

In early November, Elaj took over 15% stake in Egypt's Al O'youn Al Dawli Hospital (International Eye Hospital).
