Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday up after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up 0.82% or 55.8 points, reaching 6,878.2 points.

TASI saw trading of 155.7 million shares, through 81,200 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 3.03 billion.

The consumer durables and apparel sector rose 2.7%, followed by banks with 0.48%, and materials with 0.62%.

On the flipside, the telecommunication services, and real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sectors decreased 0.17%, and 0.04%, respectively.

Makkah Construction and Development’s stock surged 9.9%, to reach SAR 71.3, whereas Saudi Arabia Refineries Company’s (SARCO) tumbled 2.3%, to reach SAR 30.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock topped TASI in terms of trading volume after 32 million shares were exchanged, while Al Inma Bank’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a liquidity of SAR 544 million.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market ended Thursday in the red zone after declining 0.18% or 5 points to reach 2,903 points.

Nomu’s trading volume stood at 76,000 shares on Thursday, generating SAR 1.99 million.

Development Works Food’s stock retreated 10%, reaching SAR 66.3, whereas Arab Sea Information System’s grew 5.1%, and Baazeem Trading’s stock remained unchanged.
