Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed the week up 1.8% or 125.8 points to 7,003.9 points.
TASI’s market capitalisation increased 1.4% or SAR 23.1 billion ($6.2 billion) to SAR 1.659 trillion ($442 billion) in a week.
Total trading value hiked 31.8% to SAR 17 billion ($4.5 billion) during the week, compared to SAR 12.9 billion ($3.4 billion) last week.
The average of traded value stood at SAR 3.4 billion ($908 million) during the week, up from SAR 2.6 billion ($689 million) in the week before.
Trading volume surges 29.1% to 893 million shares this week, against 692 million shares last week.
On a weekly basis, the food industries sector jumped 6.7%, followed by the consumer services sector with a 5.6% growth.
Meanwhile, the materials, the telecommunication, the banks sectors edged up 2.2%, 0.57%, and 0.13%, respectively.
Moreover, the parallel market NOMU index added 1.06% or 30.88 points to 2,933.9 points in a week.
Nomu’s trading value totalled SAR 7.3 billion during the week, up from SAR 6.8 billion in the previous week.
