Private sector's deposits down 0.7% in October - CBK
Deposits of the public sector decreased by 2.4% to KWD 6.88 billion from KWD 7.05 billion in September 2017

Mubasher: Private sector's deposits at the Kuwaiti banks dropped 0.7% month-on-month to KWD 34.68 billion in October 2017 from KWD 34.94 billion in the previous month, according to the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) data on Wednesday.

On an annual basis, deposits of the private sector increased by 1.9% compared to KWD 34.03 billion in October 2016.

Meanwhile, deposits of the public sector decreased by 2.4% to KWD 6.88 billion from KWD 7.05 billion in September 2017, the data showed.

Residents’ deposits at local banks declined by 1.02% to KWD 41.56 billion in October from KWD 41.99 billion in September.

As for deposits of non-residents at local banks increased by 1.7% to KWD 4.14 billion in October from KWD 4.07 billion in the previous month.
