ADX marks 2nd successive gain Monday
The banks sector increased by 1.04%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose on Monday for the second successive session, pushed up by blue chips.

The general index went up 1.43%, or 61.43 points, to 4,356.3 points.

The ADX’s trading volume tumbled dramatically to 32.75 million shares from 113.28 million shares on Sunday, while the market’s turnover more than halved to AED 59.29 million through 633 transactions, compared to AED 137.5 million in the previous session.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock Etisalat soared 3.01% each.

The banks sector increased by 1.04% after Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) added 1.89% and 1.49%, respectively.

The real estate sector gained 0.27%, encouraged by Al Qudra Holding, which surged 5.22%, while Manazel Real Estate, RAK Properties, and Eshraq Properties levelled up 1.89%, 1.45%, and 1.43%, respectively.

 Al Qudra Holding was the most actively-traded stock, with eight million traded shares, while Etisalat topped the market in terms of liquidity, with a turnover of AED 14.02 million.
