Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session in the green; the benchmark price index edged up 0.01%, or 0.34 points, to 6,155.94 points.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.39% and 0.69%, respectively.

By 9:45am Kuwait time, listed real estate companies went down 0.05%, dragged by Aayan Real Estate which lost 5.2%.

Meanwhile, the telecom segment topped three gainers with 0.7%, backed by Aan and Zain which levelled up 4.3% and 0.7%, respectively.

The banking sector went up 0.64% in line with the growth of both the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) with 1.6% and 0.36%, respectively.

Metal and Recycling led losers with 19.9%, while Boubyan International was the top winner with a rise of 19.2%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to about KWD 847,700 after 7.04 million shares were traded through 646 transactions.

Boubyan Petrochemical posted the highest trading value of nearly KWD 169,300.

Ajwan was the most active stock on which 2.68 million shares were traded, falling 2.14%.
