ADX slips 0.06% Wednesday
Some heavy-weighted stocks saw selective buying

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index did not see notable changes at Wednesday’s close, despite the expected momentum on the market after the listing of ADNOC Distribution’s shares.

The general index inched down 0.06% to 4,384.36 points.

Some heavy-weighted stocks saw selective buying, on top of which First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), which added 0.5% to AED 10.35, while TAQA surged 3.4% to AED 0.60.

RAKBANK and Union National Bank (UNB) rose 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively, while ADNOC Distribution, the newly listed, stabilised at AED 2.65, after 3.52 million shares were traded with a turnover of AED 124.88 million.

The ADX’s trading volume more than doubled to 95.67 million shares from 45.91 million shares on Tuesday, while the market’s liquidity soared to AED 231.65 million through 2,270 transactions, compared to AED 83.47 million in the previous session.
