Mubasher: Welcoming the New Year 2018, the UAE’s Al Marjan Island clinched the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title the ‘Largest aerial firework shell.

The event held in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah saw over 1,000 kilograms of fireworks spread across 1-km canopy attract thousands of visitors and tourists.

The extravaganza places “Ras Al Khaimah on the global map of compelling New Year’s Eve celebrations,” Al Marjan Island has said. 

The spectacle saw the fireworks reach 1.1 km in height and 1 km in diametre.

The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS-worthy fireworks display was launched from 120 locations across the island.
