Egypt’s foreign assets surplus hit EGP 185.1bn in November
Foreign assets’ surplus stood at EGP 185.1 billion in November 2017

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has recorded a surplus in net foreign assets for the seventh month in a row at the end of November 2017, despite declining on monthly basis, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.

Foreign assets’ surplus stood at EGP 185.1 billion in November 2017, versus a deficit in foreign assets of EGP 191.3 billion in the same period a year earlier.

Meanwhile, foreign assets’ surplus fell 1.7% month-on-month in November 2017 from EGP 189.1 billion in October 2017.

Furthermore, domestic assets increased to EGP 2.9 trillion in November 2017 from EGP 2.89 trillion in October 2017.

Domestic credit grew to EGP 3.23 trillion in November from EGP 3.17 trillion in October.

The CBE last announced that Egypt’s foreign reserves rose to $37.019 billion at the end of December from $36.723 billion in November.
