QSE ends Thursday higher amid active liquidity
The QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 236.61 million on Thursday.

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of five sectors amid high liquidity.

The general index added 0.26%, or 22.36 points, to 8,630.67 points.

The QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 236.61 million on Thursday from QAR 198.80 million on Wednesday, while the trading volume levelled up to 8.71 million shares versus 8.61 million shares in the previous session.

The industrial sector topped the gainers adding 0.86% after Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company went up 3.75%, meanwhile the goods sector rose 0.60% on the back of Al Meera Consumer Goods Company’s 4.79% hike.

On the other hand, the real estate sector decreased 1.44% after Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development shed 2.64% and 0.77%, respectively.

Similarly, the banking sector shrank 0.38%, dragged down by Qatar Commercial Bank’s 2.83% slump. 

United Development Company, which jumped 2.02%, spearheaded the QSE’s trading volume with 2.1 million shares, generating QAR 30.7 million.
