CBK issues KWD 240m bonds, raises return
These bonds issue has a duration of six months to mature on 10 July 2018

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Tuesday issued bonds and securities valued at KWD 240 million ($796.8 million) in line with raising the return to 2.125%.

These bonds issue has a duration of six months to mature on 10 July 2018, according to the CBK’s recent data.

This issuance was covered 4.3 times, with a total demand value of KWD 1.04 billion.

The CBK raised return on bonds and securities after it kept it unchanged in December 2017 above discount prices.

On 19 December, the CBK issued bonds and securities worth KWD 160 million with 2% return, the highest since April 2009.
