Mubasher: The UK manufacturing production rose 0.4% in November compared to a 0.3% monthly increase in October, according to data by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The manufacturing sector’s figures beat expectations of a 0.3% growth, the data released Wednesday indicated.

On an annual basis, manufacturing production grew 3.9% in the three months ended November 2017, compared with the same period of the previous year, backed by the strong transport equipment sector.

Meanwhile, industrial output came in line with analysts’ forecasts of a 0.4% rise in November, versus a slighter increase of 0.2% in October.

Data showed that the overall industrial activity in the UK improved at a strong pace.
