Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait registered a positive performance in the second week of 2018; the price index gained 1.65% or 106.5 points to end this week at 6,560.63 points compared to 6,454.16 points a week ago.
The weighted index added 1.65% or 6.73 points to 415.8 points, while the Kuwait-15 index went up by 2.3% or 21.8 points to 958.86 points.
Boursa Kuwait has completed its period for correction as this positive performance reflects a good trading activity in the coming sessions, capital market analyst Jarrah Al Hindi told Mubasher.
Regional and external geopolitical conditions may affect the market, which has a support level at 6,050 points, while its resistance ranges from 6,702 points and 6,066 points.
Liquidity grew by 41.9% to KWD 64.64 million this week compared to KWD 45.55 million a week ago.
The trading volume increased by 60.9% to 522.51 million shares from 324.75 million last week.
The number of transactions enlarged by 73.4% to about 18,450 compared to 10,640.
