Mubasher: Growth of the UK's Producer Price Index (PPI) slowed more than forecasts in December, the data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed on Tuesday.

The December PPI edged up 0.1%, compared with a 1.6% increase during the previous month.

Economists had expected a growth of 0.5% in December.

On an annual basis, Input prices accelerated by 4.9% in December, down from 7.3% in November.
