Jeddah Islamic Port acquires 31% of total KSA imports - GASTAT
The Saudi trade balance surplus surged 39.94% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2017.

Riyadh – Mubasher: Jeddah Islamic Port accounted for 31.1% of total Saudi imports through customs offices during the third quarter of 2017, the General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) data revealed.

The Kingdom's imports via the port in Jeddah stood at SAR 35.57 billion in Q3-17, while the total value of imports hit SAR 114.46 billion.

Saudi imports through King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam represented 19.6%, while King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) made up 9.9% of total imports.

Saudi imports through King Abdul Aziz port and Al-Bathaa port represented 8.1% and 7.1%, respectively, in Q3-17.

Customs offices hosted 75.8% of Saudi total imports during Q3-17.

The Kingdom’s exports amounted to around SAR 195.85 billion in Q3-17, against SAR 114.46 billion imports.
