EGX ends Tuesday mixed; market cap adds EGP 1.1bn
EGX30 index slipped 0.25% or 38.39 points to 15,089.37

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab selling against foreign buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index slipped 0.25% or 38.39 points, closing at 15,089.37.

Market capitalisation closed at EGP 849.6 billion, gaining EGP 1.1 billion.

The EGX70 index edged up 0.78% to 844.51 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.53% to 2,005 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.15% to 2,677 points.

Trading volume stood at 208.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover EGP 957.9 million through 25,210 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 193 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 133.7 million and EGP 59.3 million respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.77% to EGP 77.58 at a turnover of EGP 34.3 million.
