TASI adds 48 pts, Nomu falls at Tuesday’s close
TASI’s liquidity decreased to SAR 3.64 billion on Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Tuesday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) jumped 0.65%, or 48.33 points, to finish at 7,531.56 points, registering its highest level in 27 months or since 20 October 2015.

TASI’s liquidity decreased to SAR 3.64 billion on Tuesday from SAR 3.81 billion on Monday after the trading volume shrank to 182.82 million shares from 188.83 million in the previous session.

The food and beverages sector increased 2.3%, followed by telecommunication services with 1.8%, insurance with 1.6%, and banks with 0.75%.

On the flipside, the energy, diversified financials, and materials sectors levelled down 1.3%, 1.28%, and 0.01%, respectively.

Emaar The Economic City’s stock was TASI’s best performer with 4.9%, whereas Saudi Printing and Packaging’s stock fell 4.5%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock led in terms of trading volume after 36.65 million shares were exchanged, while Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) stock topped the bourse’s liquidity, generating SAR 473.85 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, slipped 0.05%, or 1.42 points, to 3,071.20 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock decreased 3.9% and Raydan Co’s stock dropped 3.2%, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock rose 4.5%.

The stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores, which fell 1.3% to close Tuesday at SAR 12.04, topped Nomu in terms of traded volume after 17,390 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 208,980.
