Mubasher: The number of Americans without healthcare insurance increased by 3.2 million people between 2016 and 2017, according to a Gallup poll released on Tuesday.

This is the biggest jump in the uninsured rate in nearly a decade, as reported by Reuters.

Several factors likely contributed to the jump, Gallup said,        

Attempts by Republicans, who control both chambers of Congress, as well as the White House, to repeal and replace the 2010 Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obama Care”, is among the major factors that contributed to the surge in the number of uninsured Americans.
