TASI, Nomu end Wednesday in green
TASI’s traded volume amounted to 159.92 million shares on Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday up after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 0.11%, or 8.18 points, to 7,539.74 points, registering its highest level in 27 months or since 20 October 2015.

TASI’s traded volume amounted to 159.92 million shares on Wednesday, against 182.82 million on Tuesday, while liquidity fell to SAR 3.11 billion, from SAR 3.64 billion.

The media sector decreased 2.5%, followed by insurance with 0.6%, real estate investment traded funds (REITs) with 0.4%, food and staples retailing with 1.7%, commercial and professional services with 1%, and telecommunication services with 1%.

On the other hand, materials sector rose 0.4% and banks inched up 0.01%.

Jazan Development Company’s (Jazadco) stock was TASI’s best performer with 7.7%, whereas Southern Province Cement Company’s (SPCC) stock dropped 2.4%.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock led the in terms of trading volume after 35.45 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 391.71 million, closing Wednesday at SAR 11.16.

In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, went up 0.4%, or 13.01 points, to close at 3,084.21 points.

Nomu’s traded volume stood at 123,940 shares on Wednesday, against 33,740 on Tuesday, while trading value increased to SAR 1.94 million, from SAR 558,120.

The stocks of Arab Sea Information System and Abo Moati for Bookstores gained 7.6% and 3.8%, respectively, whereas Raydan Co’s stock levelled down 2.6%.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock acquired Nomu in terms of trading volume after 60,240 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 749,310.
