Riyadh – Mubasher: King Salman energy city in the Eastern province is expected to be launched by the beginning of 2019, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said.

Most of undergoing works in the city have been completed, while infrastructure projects are forecast to be finalised by the end of 2018, Reuters on Thursday reported, citing Nasser as saying.

Aramco will distribute the lands for domestic and international firms that will invest in the city after completing infrastructure projects, Nasser added.

The city is projected to add more than SAR 20 billion to the gross domestic product (GDP), as well as provide many job opportunities.
