Cairo – Mubasher: A consortium of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMT) and Lafarge is planning to commence the establishment and development of Shabramant’s waste recycling plant in the first quarter of 2018.

The plant will be set up with investments worth EGP 200 million and a capacity ranging between 850,000 and 90,000 tonnes per month, sources told Alborsa News.

The alliance is also planning to produce electricity from waste after Egypt’s electricity ministry’s approval of waste-to-energy tariff, sources highlighted.
