Empower has won a tender to build two waste-to-energy plants with a total capacity of 2 megawatts

Cairo – Mubasher: Empower has won a tender to build two waste-to-energy plants with a total capacity of 2 megawatts and up to EGP 143 million in investment in El-Salheya El-Gedida city, CEO Hatem El Gamal told Almal News.

The leading Biogas and waste management company will begin executing the designs and studies regarding the projects in coordination with German partners before the construction starts in the third quarter of 2018, El Gamal added.

The project is expected to commence operation by the end of Q1-19, in which the generated energy from both plants will be sold to North Delta Electricity Distribution Co at 102 piasters per each kilowatt per hour (kWh) for about 20 years.
