Kuwait’s projects to overhaul Oman’s Al-Doqom refinery are moving according to plan

Mubasher: Kuwait’s projects to overhaul Oman’s Al-Doqom refinery and build a petrochemical complex in the country are moving according to plan, a Kuwaiti minister has said.

Bakheet Al-Rashidi, Kuwait’s minister of oil and minister of electricity and water, further revealed that his country was pressing ahead with its refinery venture in the Sultanate of Oman, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The minister’s statements came on the sidelines of a meeting by the committee responsible for overseeing the agreement and output quota commitment by members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members.

Oman’s Al-Doqom economic zone covers an 80-km coastal stretch with a development scheme featuring ports, basins, industrial and touristic zones.
