Mubasher: The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) returned to gains as many investors tried to take advantage of cheaper stocks, which lead to noticeable gains for the main indices.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 2.33%, and closed at 24,914.49 points.

The S&P 500 closed 1.75% higher at 2,695.14 points, while Nasdaq ended the session at 7,115.88 points, up 2.13%.

It is worth noting that the Dow Jones index fell earlier in the session to a low of 23,784 points before surging 1,100 points, to end with gains of more than 567 points.
