Mubasher: European indices on Thursday reversed gains seen at the previous session’s close, after US shares closed in red, and while corporate continue reveal their earnings reports.
By 09:00 am GMT, the Eurozone’s benchmark Stoxx 600 index slipped by 0.31% to 378.96 ponts, while UK FTSE 100 fell 0.4% to 7,250.33 points ahead of the Bank of England’s (BoE) meeting and inflation report due later in the day.
Similarly, France’s CAC 40 went down 0.34% to 5,238.1 points, and Germany’s DAX dropped 0.69% to around 12,503.4 points.
Meanwhile, the euro declined 0.20% against the US dollar to $1.2240.
The US stocks on Wednesday saw sharp swings before ending the session lower, causing a downward trend in global equities.
