QSE rises 73 pts at Wednesday's close
The general index rose 0.81%, or 73.16 points, to 9,060.67 points.

Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors, amid thin liquidity.

The general index rose 0.81%, or 73.16 points, to 9,060.67 points.

The QSE’s liquidity decreased to QAR 225.81 million on Wednesday from QAR 503.59 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume increased to 11.05 million shares against 9.89 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector topped the bourse’s six gainers adding 2.91% after Ezdan Holding Group surged 3.87%.

Similarly, the banking sector levelled up 0.86%, boosted by the growth of the Commercial Bank which added 2.96%, while the industrial sector went up 0.55%.

Qatar First Bank, which advanced 2.43%, spearheaded the QSE’s trading volume with 3.5 million shares, generating QAR 23.9million.
