Mubasher: London Heathrow Airport witnessed a crash early Wednesday as two vehicles collided on a taxiway.

Local media reported two injuries, however, one of the injured airport personnel died a few hours later.

The two had been moved to a hospital in London. The second is suspected to have broken his shoulder.

Passengers on nearly by planes were evacuated, media reports showed.

“Following an incident on the airfield involving two members of staff, an investigation is underway and we are working with the Police,” Heathrow Airport tweeted.

The incident did not affect any journeys on Wednesday, the airport added.

However, BBC reported that at least 20 flights were postponed although the airfield remained open.
