Mubasher: Former Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz on Thursday slammed her former employer, using crude terms when talking about the termination of her contract at the internet services company in 2011.

Bartz’s inappropriate comments may result in a $10-million fine as she is said to have violated the disparagement clause in her contract, according to media reports.

This termination would not happen to a man, the former Yahoo CEO said in an interview on Freakonomics Radio, condemning Yahoo’s board and citing the challenges of women in leadership positions.

“It’s not that all of a sudden the boards wake up and say, ‘Oh, there should be a female here.’ … It’s easier to hide behind: ‘Well, of course, that failed, because it was female,’” Bartz stated.
