Dubai – Mubasher: Uber plans to partner with NASA to launch the flying taxi in Dubai, Dallas, and Los Angeles by 2020, the US-based transportation network company revealed on Sunday.

The flying taxi would take the shortest route to a given destination to minimise fares, Uber added.

The electric aircraft are projected to take off and land vertically with a maximum speed of 200 miles per hour (mph).

Uber Technologies signed a group of agreements with real estate companies to build landing platforms on roofs.

Fares of Uber flying taxi would be as much as the cost of UberX service, the company concluded.
