Telecommunication, banks boost ADX Sunday
The banks sector added 0.19%

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index rose 5.06 points, or 0.11%, to close at 4,582.48 points on Sunday.

The ADX’s trading volume shrank to 52.58 million shares in the first session of the week from 52.74 million on Thursday, while the market’s liquidity declined to AED 98.63 million, compared to AED 111.46 million in the previous session.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock Etisalat gained 0.29% each.

The banks sector added 0.19% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) grew 0.44%, with a turnover of AED 23 million, leading the market in terms of liquidity.

The consumer staples sector levelled up 1.02%, as ASMAK upped 1.41%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector shed 0.86% after Aldar Properties and RAK Properties lost 0.91% and 1.25%, respectively.

The energy sector decreased by 0.67%, as Dana Gas dropped 2.67%.
