QSE adds 11 pts at Monday’s open

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in the green.

By 10:15 am Qatar time, the general index grew 11.6 points, or 0.13%, to 9,091.03 points.

The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 18.6 million after 870,000 million shares traded through 436 transactions.

The banking sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.67% after National Leasing Holding Company increased 2.56%.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector topped the market’s losers falling 0.38%, dragged by the drop of Qatar Gas Transport with 0.8%.

Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which grew 0.7%, led the bourse in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.3 million, while Al Khalij Commercial Bank’s stock, which inched up 0.31%, headed the QSE in terms of trading volume with 147,300 shares.
