TASI rises, Nomu tumbles at Monday’s close
TASI grew 19.8 points, or 0.26%, to 7,528.24 points.

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the green after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) grew 19.8 points, or 0.26%, to 7,528.24 points.

TASI’s trading volume reached 147.65 million on Monday, against 163.27 million on Sunday, while traded value tumbled to SAR 3.08 billion ($820.27 million), from SAR 3.5 billion ($937.3 million).

The food and staples retailing sector rose 1.88%, followed by utilities, banks, telecommunication services and materials sectors which added 1.03%, 0.76%, 0.7%, and 0.04%, respectively. 

On the flipside, the media sector fell 3.86%, while the insurance segment decreased 1.13%.

Saudi Industrial Export Co‘s (SIEC) stock levelled up 9.98% to SAR 222.60, whereas the Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock declined 4.95% to close at SAR 76.

Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development’s stock, which inched down 0.4% to close Monday at SAR 10, was TASI’s most active in terms of trading volume after 46.97 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 473 million.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went down 31.14 points, or 1.01%, to 3,055.62 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock dropped 2.84% to finish the session at SAR 68, whereas Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock gained 5% to SAR 27.50.
