Dubai - Mubasher: Emirates NBD granted an AED 1.30 billion syndicated loan to United Engineering Construction Company (UNEC) for the building of Deira Mall project, which was awarded to the company by the Dubai-based developer Nakheel.

Dubai's largest lender acted as an agent bank, security agent, and mandated lead arranger in the syndicated financing arrangement, which included Commercial Bank of Dubai and Arab Bank as mandated lead arrangers, the UAE-based bank revealed.  

With 4 million-square-foot leasable area, the AED 4.2 billion Deira Mall is planned to have the biggest shop space in Dubai, featuring over 1,000 shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment outlets across three floors and a multi-storey car park with 8,400 spaces.
