Dubai's dnata wins flight-catering licence in Canada’s Vancouver Airport
The new facility’s initial capacity will reach 8,000 meals per day

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The Dubai-based dnata has been awarded a licence to provide flight catering services to airlines departing from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Canada, the large air services provider stated.

By the authority of the licence, dnata, an Emirates Group’s unit, will commence planning, approvals, build, and fit-out of a dedicated catering facility at Vancouver, with a total investment of over CAD $7 million in the fourth quarter of 2018.

“We are very proud of our ability to deliver globally authentic and diverse cuisine across the world, and we’re more than ready to bring that to airlines and their passengers departing Vancouver,” dnata’s catering division senior vice president Robin Padgett commented.

The new facility’s initial capacity will reach 8,000 meals per day, with an expected staff of over 150 employees, Emirates’ subsidiary noted.

“As a world-class hub airport, YVR has continued to grow and this has created strong demand for additional high-quality, in-flight catering,” YVR’s president & CEO Craig Richmond concluded.
