QSE ends Wednesday’s higher amid thin trade
The main index rose 20.37 points, or 0.22 %, to 9,119.01 points.

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors.

The main index rose 20.37 points, or 0.22 %, to 9,119.01 points.

By the end of the session, liquidity increased to QAR 167.76 million from QAR 119.34 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume levelled up to 6.92 million shares compared to 4.55 million in the previous session.

The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s four gainers adding 0.43% as Widam Food Company went up 1.46%.

The banking sector inched up 0.25% as the Commercial Bank gained 1.45%, while the industrial sector jumped 0.21% after Gulf International Services advanced 1.07%.  

Meanwhile, the real estate sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 1.58%, dragged by Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding which declined 3.01%.

Qatar First Bank’s stock, which advanced 0.46%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 2.6 million shares, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which climbed 1.27%, spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 24.6 million.
