Kuwait's trade balance surplus jumps 14% Q4
Kuwait’s exports soared 12.8% year-on-year to KWD 4.6 billion in Q4-17

Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait's trade balance surplus surged 13.9% year-on-year to KWD 1.9 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017, according to a report released by Kuwait’s Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) on Wednesday.

Kuwait’s exports soared 12.8% year-on-year to KWD 4.6 billion in Q4-17, while the country’s imports jumped 12.1% to KWD 2.6 billion in the same period, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported, citing the CSB's data.

The wealthy Gulf state's trade volume also surged 12.6% to KWD 7.3 billion in the three month-period ended 30 December 2017, compared to KWD 6.5 billion in the comparative period of 2016.

Saudi Arabia is the top importer of Kuwaiti products, with total imports of KWD 54 million, followed by Qatar and India, while China was the first exporter to the GCC nation, with total exports of KWD 452.4 million, the CSB concluded.
