Saudi GACA terminates 2 firms’ contract for King Abdulaziz Airport
A new bid will be announced later for the project

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) on Wednesday decided to terminate its contracts with Changi Airports International (CAI) and Saudi Naval Support Home for the operation and management of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport.

GACA's decision came after internal reviews for the agreements signed with CAI and Saudi Naval Support Home, according to the state-run entity's statement.

This decision is in line with the contractual terms of the Saudi body's agreements with and the consortium, GACA added, giving no further details on the value of the contract.

A new bid will be announced later for the project, GACA noted, concluding that this procedure will not affect the airport’s pilot operation by next May.
