Boursa Kuwait closes week in green amid lower liquidity
Boursa Kuwait’s trading value shrank by 9% to KWD 10.56 million on Thursday

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session with a grouped rise for the second session in a row; the benchmark price index went up 0.82% or 55.23 points to 6,756.54 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.39% and 0.46%, respectively.

The Kuwaiti stock market was expected to register a positive performance on Thursday in line with the good financial results recently disclosed in addition to dividends, namely proposed by Human Soft, capital market analyst Ya’coub Al Mashaan told Mubasher.

The main index targets resistance level of 6,850 points and a support level at 6,600 points, the analyst added.

Insurance companies topped eight gainers with 4.1%, backed by Al Ahleia Insurance which rose by 20% to be the top winner.

Meanwhile, the oil and gas segment led decliners with 2%, dragged by Senergy which lost 13.8% to top losers.

Boursa Kuwait’s trading value shrank by 9% to KWD 10.56 million on Thursday compared to KWD 11.6 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased by 19.9% to 50.02 million shares from 62.46 million.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.61 million. The stock went up 0.17%.

Rising 0.95%, Ahli United Bank (AUB) was the most active stock on which 7.16 million shares were traded.
