KSA to inject SAR 240bn into recreation sector
The kingdom will start establishing a world-class opera house

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will invest SAR 240 billion (about $64 billion) in the recreation sector over the coming ten years, as these funds will be raised from the Saudi public and private sector, head of General Entertainment Authority Ahmed Al Khateeb said.

The kingdom will start establishing a world-class opera house as part of its cultural and recreational projects, Al Khateeb added during a press conference in Riyadh.

The oil-rich nation's recreation sector provided jobs for 17,000 citizens during 2017, the chairman indicated, noting that the authority aims to hire 220,000 employees.

The authority has organised 2,200 events, targeting to launch 50,000 ones in 2030.
