Mubasher: The Israeli Airlines (El Al) has is working to obtain a permission to fly over Saudi Arabia, as it seeks to compete with other regional powerhouses including Air India.

El Al has asked an industry lobby group to help it access Saudi Arabian airspace, as reported by Reuters on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia does not recognize the state of Israel, and there are no diplomatic ties between the two countries.
