Mubasher: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Tijara and Real Estate Investment has approved the board’s recommendation of distributing 3% of capital as a cash dividend for fiscal year 2017.

Tijara will pay 3 fils per share at a total value of KWD 1.11 million for FY17, according to a bourse statement on Tuesday.

The dividends will be paid on 27 March to the shareholders registered on the maturity date on 20 March.

During FY17, Tijara reported a decline of 12.8% in profits to about KWD 706,250 compared to around KWD 810,060 in FY16.

At the stock level, Tijara closed Tuesday’s session 1.87% lower at 62.8 fils.
