Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian agriculture ministry has received a pledge from Saudi Arabia to lift the ban on strawberry and pepper exports from Egypt over the few next days, after applying the GlobalGAP standards, vice minister Safwat El-Hadad told Almal News.
This came on the sidelines of the last meeting between Egyptian agriculture minister Abdel Moniem El-Bana and his Saudi counterpart.
In July 2017, Saudi Arabia had banned fresh Egyptian strawberry exports as pesticide remains have exceeded the global limit, according to a statement by the Saudi environment ministry.
