Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session with a massive rise; the benchmark price index went up 9 points, or 0.13%,  to 6,771.8 points.

By 9:17am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.07% and 0.06%, respectively.

Technology companies topped gainers with 2.25%, followed by the real estate segment which rose by 0.23% in line with the 16.1% growth of Marakez which topped the winners.

Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector led decliners with 0.52%, dragged by IPG which lost 2.3%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 1.2 million after 5.7 million shares were exchanged through 236 transactions.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest trading value of about KWD 380,400. The stock retreated 0.17%.

Up 0.59%, Kuwait Syrian was the most active stock on which nearly734,700 shares were traded.
